Ho! Ho! Ho! We are Live!!!

πŸŽ… Santa is coming!!! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„ We are so excited to have live races again. Please join us and celebrate the miracle of normalcy through running given these pandemic times. We can't wait to see all your friendly faces this July! Given the circumstances and the timing of our event opening again, we will be scaling back a bit compared to previous years and hope you understand.
In prior years, we've started on a Friday night. This year, we are starting Saturday morning with the 24hr with all races running into the evening next to all the christmas decorations β›„ πŸŽ… πŸŽ„. You'll still be able to set up camp πŸ•οΈ, this race is still a *CUPLESS* 🚫 πŸ₯€ event (bring your own cup), but to make it safe and comfortable for everybody our aid station πŸŽͺ will be scaled back for safety precautions and will have a limited selection of items 🍬 πŸ₯« πŸͺ. We *STRONGLY* suggest you come prepared with your *OWN* nutritional needs that will allow you to make your race successful. We appreciate your understanding! 🦺 πŸ₯‡

We can use your help! Good news, too, unlike previous years, most volunteer positions are during NORMAL hours πŸ˜ƒ, but we will need a couple to help us with Saturday overnight at the aid station. If you're available and able to join our volunteer staff, we are specifically looking for help with event setup, registration/race check-in, aid station, and event breakdown. Volunteer perks include a race goody and R4W Race Credits. You can see our current opportunities and sign up by clicking on the registration button below.

3rd year doing this race. It's a laid back atmosphere, great volunteers, great snacks, nice course. You can camp out and rest as needed. ~ Yuvanka
That was a fantastic. This was my first attempt at 100 and I had a great time doing it in the 24. Your volunteers were amazing, the food great (especially the bean quesadillas) and the decorations inspiring, especially for a Xmas nut like me. I think it is highly likely I will come back next year and try for more than 100 and if my schedule doesn't permit running I will definitely visit and volunteer. Well done.‬ ~ Jim
What a fantastic event! The volunteers and participants were pretty amazing. An unforgettable experience of a lifetime! I just can't say enough about what a positive experience this was!!! I was originally going to do a 50k and be done but the experience was so positive that I continued on to do the 51.5796 miles. Thank you! ~ Debbie

Runners 4 Wellness, LLC was founded in 2013 and founded by trail runners, Brian Gaines and Ed Kelly with the goal of providing each and every runner with a WOW experience at our events. We put on races that we would want to run ourselves and pay special attention to all the nitty gritty details so you can just focus on your training for the big race day.

We put on the DPR Trail Marathon and 50-Mile Trail Races, which began in 2010, as well as, Chicago's original Christmas in July 6-Hour, 12-Hour, and 24-Hour Solo/Relay Endurance Runs, which began in 2014. We hope that you participate in one of our races and if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via email.
